Meet Dr. Jarog!

School: 

University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine

What I like about being a vet: 

Being a veterinarian lets me care for pets through every stage of life and form lasting relationships with the families who trust me with their care. That connection is what makes this work incredibly rewarding! 

Pets: 

A pitbull-lab-german shepherd mix named Luna. An orange domestic shorthair named Toby aka "Mer" and a Green-cheeked conure: Fred aka Freddy.

Fun Fact: 

I danced ballroom and latin dance for 16 years prior to pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.

Meet Dr. Mahoney!

School:
University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine

What I like about being a vet:
The opportunity to combine my love for animals and my love of science and medicine to help strengthen the human-animal bond by partnering with families to ensure the best possible care for their pets.

Pets:
An adorable senior dachshund-schnauzer mix named Charlotte.

Fun fact:
During veterinary school, I worked at a wildlife sanctuary and helped to care for hundreds of baby squirrels.

Pets:
Tuxedo kitty named Midna and crazy orange tabby named Calcifer!

What I like about being a vet:
You never stop learning! Medicine is an ever-changing field and I love to learn new ways to do things. There's always lots of cool stuff to learn too!

Fun fact:
One of the coolest things I've ever done in vet med was doing physical exams and ultrasounds on bottlenose dolphins - an amazing experience!

What I like about being a vet:
meeting new sweet little cat and dog faces

Fun fact:
As a native New Yorker, I attended the "Fame" high school of Music and Art and was an art major

Pets:
Chippy, Fozzie and Elroy

What I like about being a vet:
Improving the quality of life for both the pets and their owners makes my career very rewarding.

Fun fact:
While earning my veterinary degree, I did an externship in Chiang Mai, Thailand where I assisted the local veterinarians in the medical and surgical care of elephants!
